Piaute Chief is Maternal grandsire to Millican April. He also was an endurance horse. At the ripe age of 7 yrs. old, Noell competed and completed 50 miles at The Pistol River Ride on the Oregon coast on this stallion. It was her very first endurance ride and classified as the toughest ride in the Pacific Northwest at that time. Piaute is pictured here with young Noell. Photo circa early 1980's.

Luis Creek Keri was the maternal granddam to Millican April. She was a multi endurance medallion winner and taught several kids and novices alike how to ride. In this photo, young Noell is aboard competing in the 100 miler at the Headwaters of the Rogue endurance ride. circa early 1980's.
