Storm's story....
Storm was one of 2 horses purchased in 1997 from the late Alice Pratt, formerly of Sweethome, OR. He was a 3 yr. old near leopard stallion that we fell in love with on sight. He had not been handled, never had his feet trimmed and wasn't even halter broke. He was pastured with 4 other stallions and a gelding. While all his pasture buddies ran around showing off, Storm stood quietly at the fence and let us pet him. We knew that this was the type of horse that we wanted to start a breeding program with in hopes that he would pass that docile temperament onto foals. We also were hoping for some color too.
We brought Storm home and immediately got to work with some training. Noell was new to the Natural Horsemanship methods at the time and Storm was a great student. He soon was working under saddle like an old pro.
Storm sired two foals before he was gelded at age 7. Both were wonderful in conformation and disposition but both solid colored. He is an exceptional gelding.
NEWS UPDATE~May 2011
We have decided that Storm will likely spend the rest of his life with us. He is just a steady lesson horse. Noell wants to teach him how to compete in Trail Challenges this year too. On to new adventures...
