Desert Spirit Appaloosas is located in the heart of Central Oregon's high desert, near Bend. We are a small family breeding ranch that strives to produce quality Foundation bred Appaloosa partners. Our horses can be traced heavily through pedigree to the F# horses chosen to create the ApHC.
Our goal is to produce Appaloosa X Appaloosa mounts that are versatile and excel in any show ring, on the ranch as working stock, on the endurance trail, or as family pleasure horses. We breed for horses that are athletic, level-headed, kind dispositions, conformationally correct and show all the Appaloosa characteristics in color that the Nez Perce Indian stories made famous.
